Bob,
Your wife actually wants a model building in the living area...Now that's a victory! Most wives tolerate us but we must keep the trains out of the living area.
Are final photos of the tenement coming soon?

I took a couple of "final photos" of this build but for some unknown reason I cannot post them.
I have checked them over and over and they are no different from any other photo I have posted.
I will try to take another set but I'm not sure we will ever see the sun again!! (soggy and rain every day).

All who know me know that I am a styrene scratch builder and have been so for many
(about 40) years. The other day I happened across a utube demo of working with styrene
and while I did not learn anything from this demo I think it is the best demo on the
subject that I have ever seen. If you are new to styrene building give it a try.

Neat video, Bob. There is a series of Adam's one day builds. Here's one where Adam builds a one day model out of Fome-cor of the house he grew up in.

yes Bill, the guy must have 100 videos on utube but I thought the one on styrene building useful
to this forum, he doesn't really finish the house.

Still can't figure out why those photos won't post so I decided to take another.
Unfortunately still no sun to light the room and flash does not look right. Anyway, here's
proof that my wife won out (as usual) and the old structure now sits in a corner of the living room,

Nice base you built for the display, Bob. It matches the bay windows :)

My guess is, a plexi-glass case over a model ship.

BTW, like the ships, Bob.

Ted, Terrell is right, its a plexiglass case over a ship model. Will try to get a photo later for you. There are many ship models around my home.

Bob,
Beautiful ship model...I can only imagine the number of hours to build.
Your wife was right....the tenement house belongs on display. This build was one of my favorites...FANTASTIC JOB!!
Thanks for sharing.

Bob,

The tenement looks truly at home in the living room, which also makes a good dry dock for the ships. How about photos of all your ship models?

Mike

OK, let's make the votes pretty much unanimous, declare Victory (see what I did there, even without the ship?), and go for more ship photos. But with names, please! These are magnificent!

What's the "74?" And the white hull in the corner... is that Bounty?

The world wonders!

& Bob'. That is a beauty. I can't imagine tying all those lines. Ship building at it finest and a special breed of modeler for sure. And again you have opened another can of worms... We all want more ship pixs and of course, details... I know we are a demanding group..
