Mark, Thanks for opening!
Philip, keep at those Shays. I am sure we are all looking forward to seeing them done.
Warmer weather rolled in here today. I am hoping it stays that way (although wet).
Cheers,
Dave

Just kicking back today, maybe hit the bench later.

Phillip, PT comes to my house on Tuesday and Thursday.

Everyone have a great day.

Good Morning. Mark asked me to stop in and visit occasionally. I probably would but my life is so damn boring most of the time that there is not much to say. This by choice as I like peace and quiet in my life. Weather has been nuts with a high of 68 on Thurs, woke up to several inches of snow and a windchill of 6 on Fri, and now they are saying up to 2 feet of snow Mon night.

As far as modeling goes, I finished the second steel boxcar as far as getting it painted. I am trying to decide how much weathering to add. I also started another Mt Blue caboose. Those things are like potato chips to me, I can't build just one. I will post pictures as I finish. We are considering a move to a retirement condo so I have stopped most work on the layout. It can be broken down and saved but I don't want to add more to it at this point. I am looking for a condo with a room at least 10x11 or larger, Mrs Hopeless is looking at everything else.

Hope everyone has a fun day and stops in to support Mark in his effort to keep this place open.

Roland

Thanks for the coffee! Hey Roland! Good luck on the condo hunt! PT went ok yesterday. traction and a bunch of stretching is my daily agenda. My L4 & 5 are compressed. PT twice per week, hopeful the pain will lesson.

I finished part of the Shay fittings on the business side. Rearranging the basement shop for the casting area. I'm moving three of the pressure casting vats to the end of the bench work. When I put the air to them I always worry about a malfunction (imploding) and bodily injury. Being at the end I'll not be wandering in front of them.

Mark, thanks for brekkie!
Roland, I am with you. I would love to have a retirement condo that had hobby room, kitchen, bedroom (OK, bathroom as well). Who needs anything else? No gardening and chores to do, no empty rooms to clean .... perfect! Good luck with the search.
Philip, your hobby room sounds "industrial" scale.....
Have a good day, all!
Cheers,
Dave

Hi all, two straight weeks of business and personal travel is over. Believe it or not it snowed in Charlotte today. Good to see some traffic in the lounge.

Just sitting here waiting for the blizzard to start in Lancaster Pa. With my emphysema slowly progressing I made a deal with the kid down the street to do all the shoveling. All I have to do is watch the snow fall while I work on a model. I can do that. Predicting up to 18 inches for us. Went to look at a condo today that has possibilities. Thinking it over.

Mark, Hope the ordeal went well.

Roland, enjoy the view.

Philip, don't over do it.

Mark, Any progress Pictures?

I did get to see an operating 0-6-0 docksider on Saturday. I drove past the NC transportation museum and they had her out running on the yard tracks.

If I were close Mark I'd lend you a hand. Thanks for the drink! Everything is moved, now the organization begins.

I think we'll need help installing these! Worm gear and worm wheel. (screen capture pete222)
