Hey! Missed you guys. Was away in Spain for a few weeks and just got back to be immediately laid out by a wicked stomach flu. Four days on the couch! Brought home a nice 20-year port which I will gladly share. Cheers, Dave

It's never without drama. Thought all the kids would be home tonight for a nice pre thanksgiving meal. Well Gomez decided to help prep and sliced his finger... trip to the ER, emptied my train fund. My daughter instantly could not eat. I'm happy to report all 10 digits are still intact. Green bottle is out. Anyone want a crab cake?

Happy Thanksgiving to all the Americans out there. A chance to relax with family before the insanity of Black Friday shopping kicks in! Cheers, Dave

Good morning... Happy Morning After
I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving if you live in the US. Mrs. Rick and I spent our first Thanksgiving in 34 years alone, no kids and no grandkids. Christmas will not be the same this year without them, so lots of time to look at the train stuff and procrastinate further on building things.
I am still drawing and redrawing a 7 foot x 18" DCC programming track to build and display my shelf orphans and the myriad of detail pieces I have. It looks like the biggest problem I have is coming up with a plan that will incorporate my J&L Mine kit.
Anyway, everyone enjoy the rest of the weekend and enjoy your family.

WOW! I took a look at his site and that is some nice stuff, but a hefty price tag. I sometimes buy stuff on speculation but I would need a confirmed use for one of these kits. Dave

David, the secret is to print out those photos and scratch build your own version of the kits' Take a look at forum member, "Pennman" (Rich), on the Geezer tribute thread. He is building a scratch built structure from a photograph of a SW kit'..

That's my general plan - to use existing buildings and replicate them but it's finding the gubbinz to decorate the buildings with that seems to be the challenge. I'm certainly not begrudging the price - the amount of time that goes into casting all those bits needs to paid for. I may even buy one, eventually, I would just need to have a spot for it to go. I wouldn't want it to sit on a shelf for ages, "just in case". Dave
