The Rubbles Depot. I was trying to remember where I saw this depot also on the forum. Took me a while but I found it. Masonamerican (Håkan) has it on his layout, California Railway & Navigation Co.

Neat to see two different builds of the same station.

Yes, that is the basis of the (Barney) Rubbles Depot. The difference being that I added one more tower section, (that DR BEN was kind enough to donate to the project) and the freight depot under a unified roof.

Some day Ill get back to it. Ceiling, bench and track work first. Stuff like Rubbles while watching TV in the kitchen.

Dave & Rich,

Either of you have any problem if I steal three pictures above and post them on Model Railroad Hobbyist Picture of the Week?

Ok thanks Dave. Not showing us, just the models. I've never seen anybody post anything close to what Rich has done.

Yes, it's in limbo until I progress on the layout by putting some track down first.

I was recently viewing the Tellyknot Corner module thread by Mark Dalrymple.

http://www.railroad-line.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=32581&whichpage=5

The picture above from Marks thread gave me some inspiration, (Thanks Mark) that the hilltop town on the North Coast railroad could be easily improved by CLIMBING the hill, not just being ON the hill.

Here was the original structures that I plopped plopped down on the hill last year.

Using Marks city as a basis of change, this strikes me as being little more interesting, climbing from the railroad station (Rubbles Depot) to the business area of the town.

Obviously it is in the roughly out stage, but you get the idea. Your thoughts as to how to make it better, are both welcome and appreciated.

Dave
