Thanks Mike, much appreciated. I used the panoramic tool on my iPhone for this picture. A bit distorted on the edges but gives an overview of the entire layout.

Added some more grass and experimenting with the panoramic. Will continue with the scenery and painting details on the backdrop. I appreciate all of you comments. Dave

Dave,

The trees, backdrop and scenery are really capturing the look of the DELMARVA. Nice!

I've finally started the engine maintenance building. The prototype still stands at Cape Charles, VA, although it's a bit different than than when I first visited in the mid-80's. The first picture is from my 1985ish visit.

I've always wanted to build this and it does strike a bit of a chord in me as it was one of my first memories of the Eastern Shore RR and epitomizes the flavor of this short line. Hoping I can do it justice. Have just started and it's a bit rough but it's nice to have started construction almost 30 years after my first visit.

You are doing a nice conversion from photo to model, Dave.

Getting close to finishing; a reminder of the prototype and then 2 pictures of my model.

The roofline was interesting to model as it appears that separate buildings were covered by a common roof at some point.
