Al

I haven't seen the CD yet and probably won't until after the 20th or so when my buddy is suppose to stop by. From what I've heard it's quite a worthwhile collection. He says that the building photos were the big surprise because he was able to cut a few out and mount them on foamcore to get a 3-d effect.

I painted my wall a good sky blue, not too dark and had a friend paint the clouds in the wall. I will be putting photos of the area I am modelling against the painted backdorp to show a the scenery of the area.

My effort on Michel Boucher's D&H is illustrated on the what's new page of his MR web site. Again this 27ft of painting took 6 hours to complete. We had a great train day.

Outstanding Chris! What a difference. So how long did it take you to paint 27 feet of backdrop?

Chris, nice job. The new backdrop is a big improvement.

As you think, so will you be.

Thanks Tim. Dave. Very nice work. I am sure as Tim says there will be lots of depth to the scene.

Dave, looks like we can add your name to the list of talented backdrop painters. Good job.

As you think, so will you be.

They both look great Dave and Chris. I only hope to do half as well. I hung most of my backdrop today. When my sister came over and saw it she said, "That looks great, you can paint it green and it'll look just like Fenway Park!" Guess I didn't need to invest in those 'how to paint a backdrop' videos after all.

Thanks for the comments, I'm pleased with the way this section turned out. Only about another 100' of backdrop to paint.

I am always impressed by those who can paint backdrops. There are some truly stunning works of art in this thread. I cannot hope to come anywhere close to what has been done here on my backdrops which are still plain MDF. Hats of to all....
