Bob,

Somehow I missed these. Very sharp. Looks like your railroad has a couple of variants on a standard design.

Håkan, Mike and Phil;

Thank you so much. Here's how look now;

I have to make and add weights to these yet.
My Mom is stable, I guess that's the right word. Last Friday we had to move her to a skill nursing facility as the Hospital was not seeing any progress in her physical and speech therapy. Anyway while sitting at her side I've had lots of reading time in addition to the tons of it I have at work so I have been researching DCC in general and the various systems available. There are several nice, affordable starting systems out there that would meet my needs right now but to do what I eventually want to do (that is run 2 trains with 5 engines employed) I would need a 5 amp system (I think). Digitatax ( the Super Empire) has one that is looking pretty good. Maybe in the spring

Bob,

A couple of things:

- you do know don't you that the tank is filled with water through a pipe, not by leaving off the roof and letting rain do the job?
- if you start a debate on DCC systems you'd probably fill another fifty pages in this thread within the week.

Seriously, with all that's going on with your mother and all the other things that are probably filling your life, I imagine it feels good to work on a project that won't take six months to complete. Both tanks are looking good.

Mike

Bob;

Sorry to hear about your Mom, I hope she gets better.

As to your project, those water tanks are looking really great! I look forward to the finished products, then seeing them installed on your pike!

Mike and Horse,
Thanks, I appreciate the support and the levity too.
My Mom seems to be getting better. It is a slow process rewiring and rerouting the brain.
Life isn't for wimps. I'm glad I'm a little Irish. Got that from Mom.

Thank You Lynn, I do appreciate your visit and comment.

A little progress on the tanks to report. I posed them with Beaver Hill Jct.Station So you can see what I'm trying to accomplish with the color choices. The other tank is going to Coos Bay.

Frederic and George, Thank you for your comments.

The Morning after I made my last post my Mom had a 2nd stroke that did a lot more damage. A whole lot more.
She has slipped into a coma and most like will soon slip away. Most frustrating because she was making such great progress and we wer making plans to take her home.

Thanks again for all your support guys. Now you that have them, go kiss your Mom.
