Martin, Very nice. I love those traveling billboards in any case but your model is exceptional. Mike

Thanks, gentlemen!
I really was very pleased at how nicely the dry transfers worked in this set.
Just keeps encouraging me to build more cars of this era.
But, now I'm off to build a pair of transfer cabooses - got printed photos to work from so I'll see about some photos soon.

WOW - I just found this thread and spent some time looking it over while waiting for glue to dry. Terrific modeling, all around. This is the sort of work I love to do, taking a basket case and bringing it back to life, only in HO. AND, I model the late 1920s, so I appreciate all the fine K brake workings beneath the cars. I'll keep checking back regularly to see what new reconstuction appears on your workbench. Keep up the fantastic work!

Next up out of the stack of project boxes....is another one of these cabooses! somehow I managed to acquire 2 of these, although this one is in need of a lot more attention than the 1st one that I finished off and kept.
Not too bad assembled and held in place by friction and gravity

Taking it apart reveals.......

.......that there's work to be done here - cupola is loose and many glue joints have failed; adding an interior might be challenging; parts for the platform were inside; not sure about those trucks - Andrews - might have to replace those; not sure about the semi-naked underbody, and a new smokejack...

John Nehrich (NEB&W) compains that the baggage doors on most passenger car models are not set deeply enough. Is that something you're thinking about dor this?

This looks like the Westerfield kit for the PRR MOW conversions of older boxcars.
