A great clarinet/piano version of a classical piece by Mussorgski. The clarinet player makes some unbelievable sounds...

This thread is bringing back some musical memories for me, I love it!
The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald by Gordon Lightfoot was a personal favorite of mine as well.
I remember also because of it's length in time 6.40 min. long.
It was used by on air staff at the radio station where I worked, to allow enough time for a bathroom break.
Here are a few more favs.

FM "Phasers on stun" http://youtu.be/Hn17qiva0gk

City Boy "The day the Earth caught fire" http://youtu.be/VRMD35QXuFE

Saga "Wind him up" http://youtu.be/SRqSXwsaHvE

Great thread, guys!

This one STILL raises the hairs on the back of my neck - even after all these years...

It's Number ♥♥ ONE ♥♥ on my 160GB iPod Classic, which has over 20,000 tracks....

It's Christene McVie fronting Fleetwood Mac (in this one, she sounds as good as Stevie Nicks)!!

Originally, being from Minnesota I always liked Bob Dylan. Lyrics, if not his rendition of his songs. Probably the best version of any of his songs is done by Guy Davis, "Sweetheart Like You." Here is a link to a Youtube version.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-pKvEroMEY&feature=related

I also liked the Byrds, CSN&Y, Stones (they still give a great concert performance), and Doors amongst others from the 60's and 70's

Alrighty then,I would have to say that one of my all time favorite album covers and bands, would be The Electric Light Orchestra ELO's "out of the Blue".
Which was a double album that opened up like a book. Featuring a cool looking space craft on the cover that looked like ELO's symbol.
And on the inside jacket a scene from the interior of this space craft.
I love the colours and theme of this great artwork!
