Hello Martin, Every concert I saw the Kinks they were either drunk or fighting. Usually both. We lost some more. I saw AC/DC twice. Lost my hearing for two days each time. The only band as loud was Vanilla Fudge at the first Quaker City rock festival, where they way over amplified. Saw them six months later in Lampertsville (SP.), N. J., and they were great. Canned Heat opened for them. Watched a Procul Harum video from 2003 tonight. Superb. Saw them for the first time in 1972 my wife said, at The Academy of Music in Phila.. Incredible concert. Martin, you and yours have a wonderful Thanksgiving. ed

Ray and Dave had a few disagreements over the years but they put together a lot of good music.
Saw them at the Spectrum for the Low Budget tour , but I was really there to see the opening act, Ian Hunter and Mick Ronson for the You're Never Alone with a Schizophrenic tour. Saw them again at the Tower.
Have a great Thanksgiving, Ed!

Martin, As you can imagine, I spent many, many evenings at those venues and others when I lived in Pa.. Central City Ticket Agency and I were good friends. My wife and I sold hundreds of tickets per big concert. Whe had a good time before and during the concerts. The Kinks did put on good shows. Martin I saw Grace Slick perform in bad shape, Janis, Rod Stewert (early) and others. Waited 2.5 hours for Sly to show up at Millersville College. Oh the good old days. I assume at one time you lived in the Philadelphia area? Rock on my friend. ed

Hello Martin, I am sure you are aware Greg Lake wrote that as protest song, against the commercialism of Xmas. We are all getting old. I love The Pogues. ed

John, Have not seen that amazing video in years. Thank you brother. Always good hearing from you. 2009 Rock & Roll Hall of fame. The Boss and Tom Morello doing Ghost of Tom Joad. The same Tom Morello who graduated with honors as a political science major from Harvard. You know where I'm going with this! ed
