Stone sour - Tired http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhiIZKaRixs
Slight 80's rock tones in this, as always the incredible voice of Corey Taylor giving real "umph" to it.

In a time like ours seemings and portents signify. Ours is a generation when dogs howl and the skin crawls on the skull with its beast's foreboding. |

TMBG are a couple of creative guys. Still working, too. The last big thing they had was the theme song to Malcom in the Middle. I remember the Istanbul song and some other one that got some radio play that sounds a lot like an old John Hartford tune. The cadence and quirky rhymes of TMBG remind me a lot of Hartfords stuff, not sure if they gleaned that from him or developed that themselves. Since my train of thought touched on John, I'll post one of my favs of his :

P.S: I can't leave out The Category Stomp if I am going to mention quirky John Hartford rhymes:

Wow, great to see all the activity in this thread. Thanks to everyone for their contributions. Been real busy at home and haven't had time to listen to all the links posted, but I will eventually.
I saw Roger Daltrey in concert last night at the Kimmel Center in Philly. This was from that show:

This song reminds me of my Dad,and it still makes me smile today. He played this song for us when I was a wee lad.
