Just learned that one of the great jazz artists and composers of this or any era, Dave Brubeck, passed away yesterday, December 5, one day shy of his 93 birthday. Cause to pull out my "Take Five" disk and give it another listen.

Later, Dave S. Tucson, AZ

With the malls and even the grocery stores still jammed full of shoppers, how about an ode to materialism?

This song reminds me of my Dad,who passed away this week, on December 22nd.
When I was a wee lad, before my parents could afford a car.My dad would take me walking everywhere with him.I would eventually get tired from all of this walking. And he would pick me up,and place me on his shoulders to carry me home.I always felt like a giant when I was on his shoulders.
God bless you Dad,and thanks for everything you have done for us!

Love Greg

I enjoyed that new Bowie song Rick. It reminded me of Johnny Cash's version of 'Hurt'. That one never fails to give me shivers!

Cheers, Mark.
