While trying to read one of the tutorials under the acrchives (the one on making logging cars, I got the following message:
Remote Linking Forbidden
This Host does not support
Remote Linking of images
or files of free accounts.
Please update your account.

What does this mean and how do I correct it?

Thanks for helping this techno idiot.

Jim, in the early days of the forum before we were able to upload pics directly into posts, members would upload their photos to hosting services and then use html tags to link to the photos in their accounts. That way they could include photos with their postings here on the forum. The message you got simply means that the individual (Russ, in this case) either no longer has an account at that hosting service or did not pay for a "premium" account - or that the hosting service no longer allows "remote linking" because of bandwidth problems. Put another way, there is nothing you/we can do about it. The problem is on the other end and is not a forum problem. Sorry.
