I haven't been in the trainroom much in months (but my golf game has been on fire!!) so no surprise the trains keep stalling. With non golfing weather right around the corner it's time to do some serious track cleaning. There is a group from two counties away that I promised to have over for a op session in the Fall and Fall is here. Hmmm, time to go bowling I think.

O.K. thanks to the challenge I got the depot area in Murphy done:

It still needs a few tweaks and some people around the depot. That leaves the last 10.5" by 25" area to do. At rate I'm going I should knock that out by 2025 or so.

Well if I'm going to get this last part done by 2025 I figure I need to hit a lick once in awhile.
This next building is the H.T. Hackney Co. which is a wholesaler catering to Mom and Pop stores, convenience stores and the like and is still in business today. One sat next to the tracks in Murphy during the time period I'm modeling. Not sure if it's still there today. I'm modeling it based on a B&W pic from the 1930's that just shows part of the building. It will sit against the backdrop so it is a odd triangle shape. The first pic is with it painted a primer gray.

The second pic is after I painted the walls and the band with the name. Still to do is the signage, door and roof.
