I like the look of the grey. It appears to blend in nicely.

Thanks, we like the gray for being a very nuetral color that doesn't compete with or clash with the colors on the railroad. We considered a few other colors, several shades of green were looked at, but we decided on the gray.
Pretty much everything in the room is a shade of gray, the block walls, support poles, layout legs, dispatcher's panel enclosure, cabinet for the electronics and the floor. The walls, support poles and floor were just chance since we did them way before we ever considered the fascia and valance colors.
The cabinetry was contributed by our buddy Mike, he had a lot of excess gray formica from a job he did, so we got gray. That was after the fascia and valance was installed and painted, so it worked out well. In truth, we would have chosen gray at that point, but got lucky with the color he had.
Eventually, after the scenery is done, we intend to put down some carpet (With padding, that concrete is hard.) in the aisles. Don't know what color that will be yet.
