Posted - 10/13/2020 : 02:34:26 AM Hello. I originally started this build as part of another thread.
http://railroad-line.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=53025
I've now decided to separate the builds, to stop confusion. The basic hulls are the same, so above link will tell you how I did those. But this one has a round stern, so done a bit different. So here's a recap, before I progress.

Posted - 01/22/2021 : 03:01:06 AM Finally got a new printer. Already named the other boat after my wife.
This one I'm naming after my sister.

And looking forward to getting the boathouse diorama finished, so I have somewhere to put these boats. |

Posted - 12/11/2020 : 01:57:39 AM Thanks Rich. Glad you like it.
The diorama I'm thinking of doing will include a scratchbuilt, Maine / New England version of the boat house on the Muskrat Ramble.

Probably also include this scratchbuild I did last year.

Posted - 12/09/2020 : 2:52:51 PM Rob, Wow. Nice work on your fishing trawler. I can almost smell salt air and the fish!
Any ideas what your, alluded to, project may be?

Posted - 12/08/2020 : 11:45:46 PM Greg, thanks for following and the reminder about the boat names. Usually I print signs etc at work on a laser printer. Due to Covid-19, I've been Working From Home since March. (and enjoying it. Don't miss the travel & traffic). And also we went into a very strict lockdown for nearly 5 months, and my home printer threw in the towel during that time, and I haven't had a chance to get a new printer as yet. Will maybe get one this week. Not sure in Canada, but here, a replacement set of cartridges can cost as much as new printer, so I need to do some research, on what's available. Too many choices can be confusing.

Posted - 12/08/2020 : 11:40:57 PM Hi Frank. I should take a modelling break for a couple of weeks, but where's the fun in that. Too many models to build, and less time ahead, than behind me. Or maybe I could spend two weeks tidying up my modelling desk. Who knows what I might find.
And a special thanks for all your assistance with these builds, having first hand experience on trawlers. You are a wealth of knowledge, and always helpful to many Forum members.

Posted - 12/08/2020 : 11:38:32 PM Thanks Mike. I'm usually the one who asks in mid Dec about the Challenge, so I'll post one next week, unless you want to beat me to it this year.
Thanks Carl & Horton for following along and all you encouragement. Appreciated.

A challenge would be fun, wouldn’t it?

Posted - 12/08/2020 : 10:04:17 AM Capt. Rob, wonderful work on those seaworthy looking fishing boats! I don't see any names on those boats, they both deserve a name.

Posted - 12/08/2020 : 09:50:07 AM Rob, well done Mate. You're allowed to take a break for a while. But not too long ehh. |

Posted - 12/08/2020 : 01:23:34 AM Thanks Phillip, Frank & Ted for following along. Been quiet an enjoyable build. Very slow, as I have way too much going on at the moment, but got there in the end.
Here are some final shots I took on the water. (A sheet of my leadlight glass)

And here's the two boats together. Wouldn't think they started as the same kit. Other boat thread here. http://railroad-line.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=53025

One more boat to go. I'll turn that into a classic Maine Lobster boat. Not sure when I'll start that. Will have to see what the 2021 Challenge theme will be.
