Hello. I originally started this build as part of another thread.

http://railroad-line.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=53025

I've now decided to separate the builds, to stop confusion. The basic hulls are the same, so above link will tell you how I did those.
But this one has a round stern, so done a bit different. So here's a recap, before I progress.

Thanks Phil. I'm really enjoying your boat build also.
thanks for the advice, but I'm now just going to go with 2 gallows, on the one side of the boat.

So have made up some detail parts for the mast, a couple of pulleys, and the 2 gallows.
All made of styrene.

Rob, I would suggest you do some sketches. Start with the mast and one boom. Figure out what is needed to raise and stay the boom in position. Then duplicate on the other side. Start a new page with what is needed to deploy the nets on one side then add the other side. The rigging for the booms are rigged first then the net operating lines are rigged.

Yes, pulleys (called blocks) where ever the lines make corners. The blocks are labeled by the number of sheaves and how arranged.

Thanks Philip for the confirmation.

Frank, I've now made a taller stack. Don't want them having to wear face masks.

Not getting very far with the mast and outrigger booms. As much as I look at pictures, I can't figure out how they work.
Lines going everywhere. Would they have pulleys mounted on the mast or the deck. or both ?

If it gets too hard, I'll just make two gallows instead.

I was wondering if you should raise the height of the exhaust stack? Working the lights on the bridge some night with the wing coming in off the stern you would probably exfixiate the crew.

Not at all! looks fine!

Thanks Jerry, Bruce, Mike, Carl and Philip.
I hope I'm not overdoing the weathering.

Started on the mast, so will be working out the rigging soon. Will be a bit different to the other boat, as I will either add side trawl arms to this one, or just 2 lots of gallows. ??

Found this site with lots of labelled diagrams.

Looks terrific, Rob!

The details look great, Rob.
TRAINS1941 Posted - 11/13/2020 : 08:34:11 AM
Nice detail Rob.
robert goslin Posted - 11/13/2020 : 03:24:51 AM
Finally an update.
Have added details to the top deck. Two scratchbuilt spot lights, a stack and a storage box. The stack is a garden sprinkler joiner and styrene rod, and the storage box is the dust cap off a computer cable.

And have now started work on the mast assembly.

Late reply, Thanks Philip and Dave. Glad you like it.
Have been busy building a cabinet for my wife, so not much progress this week. Hopefully an update soon.
