The pastor will have to pass the plate as econd time to get you the asphalt shingles to finish it up.

The shingles are real wood. From a piece of veneer off a piece of plywood I found in the yard, naturally weathered. Though I did go over it with an I/A wash. It was rather fragile so I coated the backside with a thin layer of Mod Podge to hold everything together.

The chimney is paper bricks. The foundation will look more like that once I add mortar and weathering.

The windows are just images I found on the web, sized to fit. I coated them with a couple of coats of hi-gloss Mod Podge to give them a glassy look. Though I don't think it shows in the photos. There is actually 6 different images. And since from the outside you would be seeing the backside, the images are reversed. There's some print on them that would be a clue, if you could see it. I can't even with a magnifying glass.

And the brick foundation look good too.

So how did you do the stained glass windows ?

I'm making fairly good progress on this thing. Where I'm slacking is in updating. Sorry.

I did the steeple roof with wood shingles. The plan now is to do the main roof in asphalt shingles, thinking the steeple roof is original but the main roof was re-done at some point. Also the chimney is done. Nearly didn't think about that.



All windows and doors are done. And the front steps and foundation are in progress.

Yours seems larger than that.
