I used to have a rather long topic on the MoW cars that I'd built over on the Car Shop forum. There were 30-40 scratchbuilt cars in it.....

It's since dried up and blown away thanks to Photoshop imploding. And, I really had not built another MoW car for a while.....ok, what that really translates to is O have not built a MoW can for way too long and I'm having withdrawal.

Must... Build... MoW car.... Now!

Ok, let's go!

The tie rods add so much to your model. Nicely done.

Thanks!

Ends built and inserted; connecting tie rods all around top to bottom inserted.

I certainly hope so, But it also provides me with a means to use up some odd HO sizes of basswood that do a great job of standing in for an O scale build,

Looking good!!

Thanks! Have to make good notes on this one as it's going to be a little trickier than most. Probably should pour RTV and resin,

Use the Masai counting system, popular in Kenya: None, One, Some, Many.

And you'll have to double that number since there are 2, 2!, cars,

Don't get me wrong, the result is beautiful, but it seems like you'd save a lot of time and nbw's and then have the ability to create many more. Gondolas & hoppers usually come in multiples anyway.

All true, but I rarely make more than 2 of anything as I get bored easily. In fact, I tend to build 3-5 projects in parallel to keep my interest at a good level in all of them.

But, I could go back easily enough and rattle off a few masters, make RTV molds, pour resin, etc.... Done it before... Will probably do it again.... Probably sooner than later...

I've never scratchbuilt or kit built any rolling stock, so my hat's off to you.

Thanks!

Going to potentially eat up a lot of nbw's!
