Posted - 07/20/2010 : 9:03:22 PM OK, Here are some photos of where I am at with my layout. At this point most of the layout is pink styrofoam with track pinned to it. Only one small section is complete. I dont have scaning so I don't know how to add a trackplan. Photos in next post

Posted - 07/25/2018 : 6:57:55 PM Roland I have a big hand that also breaks details while cleaning track. I recently read about Graphite sticks. (Yes I may be behind the times!!!). So what the heck? I purchased a couple and gave my track a good clean the old way. Then applied some Graphite. It's been a month since and no need for any more track cleaning the old way.

Posted - 07/24/2018 : 8:16:24 PM Thank you all for the positive comments. The trees are just Balsa and caspia and range from 6 to 24 inches tall. The only thing now is I have to find a track cleaning car as I cannot get my hand in many spots without breaking them.

Posted - 07/21/2018 : 9:35:40 PM I should have said there are 118 trees in the 12 feet section.

Posted - 07/21/2018 : 9:33:44 PM It has been a while but I have been doing something. I needed to finish the back ground before I could finish the small town. I had to stand on a chair to reach the back section and would have most likely crushed most of the buildings in front. The section is 12 feet long and is shown left to right in the 3 photos.

There are 118 pine trees in this section.

Posted - 03/29/2018 : 2:52:09 PM Wonderful model. It looks appropriately like it was made from bits and pieces lying around a backwoods railroad.
