Welcome to new lounge.
Bigger bar, new recliners and thought it would be nice to have a juke box.
To celebrate I opened up a bottle of Henry McKenna single barrel bottled in bond bourbon.
Fridge is stocked with a nice assortment of beers and there bottles of red and white out too.

Good morning, crew...or is it afternoon?
Haven't checked in for a while. The only time I do is at work, during lunch break, but it has been so busy that I haven't had time for even that. Shouldn't complain, it will slow down soon enough.
No time for train time, though. It seems the house is a demanding task master.
Have a good day, all y'all.
TRAINS1941 Posted - 05/23/2019 : 09:33:26 AM

Rick thanks for the coffee.

Weather in South Jersey right now showers/60. Later P.sunny/75!

Not sure what we are doing today. Its been to cool to sit on the beach.
We've been hanging around the house working the flower beds and getting some tan.

Maybe some work on my hoist house later. I keep saying that but never seem to get to it...

Everyone have a great day!!

Good morning, up too early today and not sure why. It is and they say will continue to be a beautiful day. High in low 70ís but super clear, light breeze before the rains return tomorrow. Not sure what today will bring but I will not venture into the trainroom. Yesterday I was in there for about 90 minutes but just fiddled at the workbench, I accomplished nothing.

Yesterday the SIL cut about 2-3 cords of wood and fixed the fence the tree fell over. I told him that there is no rush but he claims to enjoy this. The former desk bound corporate manager has really relaxed since he quit his job a couple years ago. He does a great job around the property. Enjoy your day.

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for coffee.

Up early for no reason. No rain in the forecast.

I hope for some bench time today followed by the Texas Western tonight. Life is good.

Have fun,
Rick Posted - 05/23/2019 : 07:03:36 AM
Good morning everyone.

Coffee, hot water for tea and Cherry Diet Pepsi are ready to go.

Some rain in the AM and then some sun and upper 70's in the PM.

Tom, I'm aiming to retire when I reach 65 (three years from now).
Primarily for insurance reasons.
I agree with 100% about Charlize Theron.

Mike, I look forward to some pics.

Household chores, lawn work and a bike ride are all planned for today.

Have a great day everyone.

Rick, good morning thanks for starting the day off and of course the diet Cherry Pepsi.

Retirement, tough choices as to when to retire. My wife did it at 56 as she finally was tired enough of the politics of public school administration. I waited 6 years and retired at 62 because my job had changed so much and after 25 years of working for my brother I had had enough. Money is not always a determining factor, yes figure it in but I think most retirees will tell you. In your heart you will know it is time. Also, you will be amazed at the amount of decent jobs out there after you retire. Not just the big box stores but many businesses are looking for intelligent people.

The movie yesterday is a forgettable title, so much so even Terry canít remember it. Long Shot per the movie guide. It was an enjoyable feel good movie worth seeing just for the eye candy of Charlieís Theron. OMG she is stunning. Funny at times that the whole audience was chuckling, a very lite hearted flick, fun. Oh yeah, may be a chick flick.

Back to working on the paper mill as the resin parts have arrived and I will be cutting them off the printer supports for the rest of my free time today. Enjoy your day.

Good morning folks,

Rick, the coffee's good. Thanks. Wishing you a fun weekend.

Work day at the lodge, so not much bench time. It has been fun finally getting back to the bench. Need to post some photos in the build thread.

Rain again this afternoon and hoping no storms with it.

Have fun,

Good morning everyone.

Coffee, hot water for tea and Cherry Diet Pepsi are ready to go.

A chilly start this morning but the sun will shine later bringing temps into the mid 70's.

I appreciate everyone that checks in here and participates.
Thank you.
I see lurkers peeking in occasionally, stop in and say hello.

Jerry, only way to retire early is win the lottery.

Have a great day everyone.

Rick thanks for opening.

Seeing its a nice Spring day I'll have a nice cold beer while sitting out on the porch!

Rick 11+ days with all that OT retirement might be a closer!!

Later a little work on the Hoist house.

Everyone have a great day!!

Good morning from cool So. Wisconsin where it may hit 50, the wind is howling and my grass desperately needs to be cut. I over did my walk yesterday, I guess I need to build back up to 4 miles, so today will hit the 3 mile mark. I was on the deck yesterday practicing flying the drone and it was an adventure. I am not real steady and the controls reflect that, not the smoothest flight but no crashes. This thing is so much nicer than previous ones we have had. We use the drones to check daily the fence lines on the property. My SIL has been doing the checking all winter along with my son remotely from Texas, I thought I would join the fun.

Mike, I grew up in Chicagoís southwest suburbs which in spring they called tornado alley. Nothing like what the real tornado alley in Oklahoma is like. I have seen too many funnel clouds in the past and do not ever want to personally see another. Donít feel bad about your Circuit. I forget that I gave my daughter my laser cutter and she also has a couple resin printers.

Rick thanks for moving us forward today and the diet Cherry Pepsi.

Enjoy the day.

Good morning folks,

Rick, as always, thanks for coffee.

It rained again last night and a small storm is headed our way. Tornado season sucks. Lots of family in the path of yesterday's Oklahoma storms. Hope they are okay.

Worked at the bench yesterday. Mostly cutting glazing for the windows. I got tired of the hand cuts, so fired up the Cricut and cut them out easily. I sure forgot a lot about how to us it.

Today is work day at the lodge, so I am off.

Have fun,

Good morning everyone.

Coffee, hot water for tea and Cherry Diet Pepsi are ready to go.

Sun will shine again today but much cooler with a high in the low 70's.

After working 3 consecutive 11+ hour days I'm a little worn out.
Back in the day it wasn't ever a problem.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning from So. Wisconsin. Rick thanks for the diet soda and remember Iím retired Usually if I am up at 4:30 it is because I canít sleep. Having to do something sucks now. When I was a kid in 8th grade then HS (Class of 70) I caddied and the line to get a bag started at 5 I loved it. $7.50 a bag carrying 2 plus a few bucks tip 6 days a week. Great money then. That is where my love of golf came from. 4 years of college and dad made me borrow $3000 even though I didnít need it from saving my caddy money. I made both my kids borrow to establish their credit.

Off for my walk and some drone flying, have a great day.

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for coffee.

It's overcast and headed to 87F today. The bad storms are west of us, and I hope they stay there.

I finally got to the bench yesterday and worked on windows and the floor.

Have fun folks,
