I sell Sioux City prickly pear soda. Good to drink while modeling.

Lots of ferns and other plants, Kathy. Looks like you could make HO scale palm fronds that way and also maybe even clusters of prickly pear cacti with the smaller rounder "leaves".
Cigarette paper is very thin, wonder if it would cut cleanly as another type of paper in addition to the origami papers and foils mentioned previously?

Ed - AK have some great books. I have their wood and metallic books plus the trains one.

After last week's video on how to cut out leaves with a machine like the Brother Scanncut, this week we're making them into plants.

Kathy, Nice job, as always. Three superb AK books on FOS website. Well worth the cost.

This week's video is looking at a useful tool for cutting out vegetation but when you start thinking about other uses, the sky's the limit!

A while ago I picked up some weathering sets from AK Interactive. They contain 3 products and these ones are aimed at railway modellers.

Tyseley Locomotive Works is responsible for restoring steam locomotives that still run mainline express steam trains. Awesome!

This is the final week on docks! I can't believe this huge section of my layout is nearly finished.

Thanks for following along with me and if you want to see some final photos then you can see them here:

All those docks and wharves we put on a layout need something at the edges and this video shows you what and how:

Finally, we're painting those pieces of foam, card and grit so that they look like a weathered dock.

Thanks Guys. Appreciate the comments!

I was introduced to this week's method by Ken Hamilton and I really have to thank him for this excellent method. It is so easy! It took me longer to cut out the card base than to do the painting.

These paints look amazing straight out of the can and could easily be used for brand new tarmac/asphalt with nothing else except a few white lines.
