OK, Here are some photos of where I am at with my layout. At this point most of the layout is pink styrofoam with track pinned to it. Only one small section is complete. I dont have scaning so I don't know how to add a trackplan. Photos in next post

Roland, Glad the move went well, I will have to find your new place. The caboose on the log skids is really nice, I might borrow that one.

Roland just as beautiful as ever.

Can't wait for your next project.

By the way what's the room size same as the last place or something different?

Welcome back! Sounds like you have some nice community support for the layout.

Sweet setting, both railroad model and the home.

Roland,

Glad to hear the move went well and you're back to posting photos of your fine work; I have a number of your photos in my ideas folder. That sounds very considerate of them to accomodate your needs.

Back again. The move went very smooth. After I broke everything down with the help of Mrs Hopeless, 2 friends came over with a small trailer. We loaded it all in the trailer and my van. Drove to the new place and put up the benchwork in one morning. Since it is a cottage in a retirement community I don't think they would be to happy with a backdrop painted on the wall, so I am going without. They did paint the walls a nice blue and added 9 can lights in the ceiling for me.

For the past month or so I have been upgrading the existing buildings and redoing the scenery. Here are a few pictures of where I am at.

My workbench is the lighted area under the layout. Well back to work. I have plenty of ideas and now have lots of time. Thanks for looking.

Bruce. I'm glad you like the layout. The room is 11x10 and I tried to squeeze in as much as possible. I am not very wide so the narrow isles are not much of a problem. Now that it is all broken down and all the goodies packed, I am amazed at how much I had in there. It is all spread out over 2 rooms so don't worry. You can get a lot of railroad in a small space.

Hi Jerry.

Just couldn't help myself.

We are contemplating moving house. And looks like I'll be stuck with a spare bedroom and I'm 'stealing' ideas Roland.

A nice update to the RR Roland.

To quote Herman Melville in Moby Dick with a little change "When ever it is a dark dreary March in my soul I go up to the workbench" and it sure is dreary today so up I went and finished the caboose. It is a Mt Blue kit build pretty much stock. No grab irons were included so I added some. Also a roof walk was included but no ladders. Since I didn't want the little people climbing out the window I left it off.

Surprised this one popped up again. Thank you all for the comments.

Larry. There would have been more on the bench, but it was toward the end of the shop build and I was out of ideas and junk.
